Body of Work / Sell-by Date
Anthony Tucker-Jones is a prolific British historian whose works include two great books about Winston Churchill. More important, he is extraordinarily kind and encouraging to newcomers like me. I wanted to jokingly contrast my two-volume body of work with Anthony’s, and recently asked him how many books he has written. With that answer in hand, I now know that I just have to write 71 additional books to catch him. And that of course assumes that Anthony will stop writing until I do.
Also … when I bought a half-gallon of milk Monday night and noticed that the sell-by date matched my publication date, it hit home that this countdown is really ON.
